Lary's kickstarter video version 1

Okay, getting ready to go live with this shit. but I have to wonder, do I sound entirely disinterested in the plot? should I do something more theatrical for that portion?
I NEED YOUR HELP to decide!

    CONSTRUCTIVE CRIT TIME:
    1. Can you edit in some shots from Arcane Pizza in the video? ...like drifting images while you still talk.... The More you cram in the video (I hear) the more people get intrested!
    2. Also, you hesitate before you say art supplies as if you had forgotten it was an integral part of the budget. EMPHASIZE MORE THAN THAT!!! Printing, etc. We need to know that you aren't simply taking a break from work... to work on this.

Nice use of babies... my heart dropped at the though of a crying baby... people hate that shit.

Aside from that, looks good! Can't wait to see what the goodies are!

  2. Thanks Captin! it took me the better part of two hours to figure out how to do it but now it is littered with arts and terrible voice overs. Say, know anyone who would make me three to four, two second chip tune ditties cap?

    - Gotta agree with the Cap' about your finances. I believe that typically people don't want to support someone's living costs through kickstarter, and thats kinda how you presented it. You could try shouting out that you need materials, and also, don't you need printing costs? Pay for the shipping of the rewards. But not so much that the money is going to be your income.

    - Another thing might be to mention where the collection will go. What does the final product look like? Will it be available online? In local comic shops? A convention? Will there be a digital download available?

    - Could also mention why the project is important to you. Do you want to be a comic book artist? You could say that you're trying to help build your portfolio, or make money from the proceeds to continue your job as a working artist, or what eva.

    - Keep the baby. People love babes.

Get this shit up so we can fund you, friend. The original was great and I look forward to seeing the revised version.

  4. Whelp. I think you are both right. and after re working it, I have to admit that I think I'm going to go ahead and back-burner this shit. potentially for a long time. I can't really plan to printing cost this or anything else. I wouldn't know how much it would be or when it would be (how long it will take), and with all those question marks floating around it feels too insubstantial. saying anything about any of that would be tooo vague, and would feel like half truths... someday i'll finish something big so I can do a production kickstarter.

  6. NO NO NO. You have now started to break hearts and it is fruitless. You have friends who have not only printed their work but who have successfully used kickstarter. I would personally love to contribute to this project and I imagine I am not the only one. Talk to Lenni Jennick and Bever Turks about estimates. When you get estimates overshoot the deadlines and the delivery of goods to ensure you don't have to kill yourself to get product out. BUT GET PRODUCT OUT. FUCKIN DO IT MAN. THE PEOPLE WANT IT. Take a chance and you might just finally get the chance to work on a project with proper funding and make good business connections. At least think about it for a bit and update your church-goers.

  7. But that's just it MR. Mayonnaise! I don't know how many pages the book will be. I can't even get a rough estimate on either printing costs or how long it will take. I can't even imagine it with so many variables. It's a Job for another day. I have to at least wait until I'm halfway through. and I can't swing the paper costs right now. :( I hate it. Sorry to bum you out. ;/

  9. Don't let it drift too far. I would gladly throw money at this and others would too! Errryone likes it and kickstarter would be a great way to fund it! Your estimate needs some focusing and you are back on track! I also urge you to keep it up and punch up some numbers estimates. What have you got to lose? Aside from a night or two of number crunching? I have giant wet fantasies about your comic books continuing!!! I DEMAND IT SIR!!!

But yeah, you know well buddy. If you want to backburner this then go for it, just make sure you are keeping up with your goals! They are AWESOME!!!

And I sent off that one for the Pat Guppy radio program a while back with all the little snippets, If you need me to resend it thats cool, I can also send you a few other random snippets too!!! Lemme know bro-moeba
