a sliver of this year's chinook book submission

I figured I might as well submit to this years cover contest for the chinook book. who knows if I'm still even eligible, but I got nothing else going on at the moment. so I figured that I might as well.
I think I want to do a thing or two to it yet... maybe some more shadows.
